The Challenge

While there were 150,000 people at CES it was robots that were dominating the floor space. From ‘real human’ robots to robot vacuums and mops, robot pool cleaners and robot mowers it really wasa robot’s world. But how did Tandem make its client Narwal and its new range of robot vacuum mops stand out from the crowd at this year’s CES?.

The Solution

CES2024 was the first CES for Tandems new client Narwal which was announcing three new smart home devices including two robot vacuum mops. Tandem had to make sure that the media wrote about its client over other robot announcements that would be coming from organizations in the space, so we made certain to highlight key features of the new Freo X Ultra and the S10 wet/dry mop. We even created a new term ‘Hairodynamics’ to better define the zero-tangling feature.

Tandem workedCES many months in advance, togivethe media the heads up on Narwal’s news in advance of the Holiday breakas well as to provide them with assets that enabled them to create news content prior to Day One of CES.

The Result

CES was a fantastic success for Narwal, it made its mark on the ground as a leading organization in the robotic vacuum/ mop market during its first ever CES. It not only was it the organization that gained the most coverage among all those making similar announcements, but it also gained a five media awards.

Narwal gained 58 pieces of coverage and was a hit across print, online and social channels. The new Narwal Freo X Ultra and S10 wet /drop vacuum were a hit with tech media, lifestyle media and the on-stand demo’s made some great video content for social outlets.

Ahead of CES, Forbes wrote that Narwal was a booth to visit and an organization to watch out for –the author wasn’t wrong. Throughout CES, Narwal appeared in Tom’s Guide’s Best Robot Vacuum’s of CES 2024, Digital Trends, Trusted Reviews, Gear Diary, T3, The Verge and many more tech and lifestyle outlets
