The Challenge

With six clients attending CES launching seven products, Tandem had to create a strategic and organized approach to secure impressive press coverage for each product and arrange executive interviews with top tier press. Without large budgets and clients such as Withings and the 3D 360 VUZE camera in the competitive connected health and VR sectors, we had to breakthrough and standout in the most cluttered media week in the consumer tech year.

The Solution

Having supported clients at CES for 14 years, we leveraged our extensive insights of the show and close relationships with media and organizers of CES and its surrounding events to ensure our clients were able to punch above their weight.

From individual product pitches, review unit seeding, negotiating priority positioning at press events, celebrity booth visits, executive media interviews and a systematic award strategy, our clients outshone competitors with much larger budgets.

The Result

Generated more than 2,800 pieces of coverage in a 4 day period.

Withings alone generated 1,200 pieces of coverage around its two new products – Thermo and GO.

More than 150 onsite interviews booked.

Our clients the Ripple Maker was one of just 12 products featured live by Fox News Morning Show.

Collectively our clients garnered 8 CES Innovation Awards.

Our client VUZE was named winner of the CES Last Gadget Standing event.
